Optical brightening agents (OBA’s) are used in detergents in order to enhance the whitening effect by adding a bluish shade to the textile.  They absorb ultra violet light and emit visible light which makes fabrics appear cleaner and whiter.

DETOBA offer a range of OBA’s specifically designed and manufactured to the exacting specifications of the detergents industry worldwide.  The range has been specifically compiled to cater for the variety of washing conditions encountered around the world, from hot wash (60°C) to cold wash (5°C) as required.  DETOBA can supply Photine OBA’s as slurries or as spray dried powders, making use of the most up to date technology.

The Photine range of products are environmentally safe.  They do not produce chemicals that are known to deplete the ozone layer and they also contain very low levels of other impurities.   All Photine OBA’s are biodegradeable and do not accumulate in the natural environment.
